Final post

Evaluation 7: Looking back at your preliminary task what do you think you have learnt in the progression from it to your final production

The contents page of my print prelim is in three sections which in itself breaks generic conventions of professional practice. It is in columns and boxes rather than lines and does not follow any kind of pattern. There is a huge improvement from this product to my final product. I have learnt how to use photoshop properly and taken a great deal more care with the photography and the layout of the contents and front cover. I also made a double page spread which I did not in the prelim. The small things are a lot more neat on my final product which resembles professional practice in comparison to my early attempt of a magazine.

Evaluation 4- What would be the audience for your media product?

This is a mood board of my target audience for my media product. The magaizne would be suitable for both males and females who enjoy listening to house music. The genre has only recently started to become more popular with the female genre which works well for the males as well as the models can then often by objectified. The main age would be 18- 24 years old. They would have to be interested in fashion, music and attending festivals and holidays in clubbing locations such as Ibiza and Magaluf. They would have to enjoy listening to music on a regular basis and look forward to finding new music. Night clubs would be a popular visit on a regular occasion. The target audience would be good looking and interested in keeping fit and tanned.
